Yesterday, around a quarter past six, I stopped in at Gino’s Pizzeria in Carle Place, Long Island, New York and ordered a veggie slice with a diet crème soda + a diet root beer. I was thirsty. Total came to $9.36.

I had planned to attend the 7 o’clock Stations of the Cross service at Our Lady of Hope RC Church next door. I sat down, plugged-in my phone to charge, and took a bite. Next thing I knew, Detective Frederick Hausmann and three other detectives (whose names I do not recall) with the Nassau County Police Department cornered me menacingly, as if I didn’t have a right to be there.
These bullies were not wearing bodycams, so I did democracy a favor and started a livestream on Facebook. Detective Hausmann felt threatened by this, and lunged for me and my phone. The Long Island Gestapo threw me in the back of their cruiser without telling me WHY I was under arrest. (You’d think they would have learned to start doing that, after the last time.)
To reiterate, I have never made any threats of harm (directly or indirectly) against ANYBODY throughout the course of these sordid misadventures. Yesterday, I was NOT violating any minimum distance imposed by the courts. The people who are doing this to me (Nassau PD + whoever they take their orders from) shouldn’t fear the truth. If the truth is causing them discomfort, then it is their moral compasses that need adjustment. You go to church to get that recalibrated.
By the grace of G-d, I walked out of jail (for the 2nd time, in under a week) this morning not knowing if that :09-second video was published or was lost. Previously, I’ve had to confirm the audience settings, etc. before the video would actually post. I didn’t have time to do that yesterday, as Detective Hausmann snatched my phone right out of my hands. G-d is good.
Here’s the first court case (the new charges aren’t in the system yet.) We go to court on April 17, 2025. Lmk if you have a good civil rights/federal tort lawyer.
